Development record / September 4, 2026
The current work, in plain view.
The product family is in first-article preparation. Corrected electrical and mechanical sources, build instructions and firmware form the current package. Physical prototypes, measured system performance and field qualification are the next work.
By product
What exists. What comes next.
- Current work
- Reviewed control-board and enclosure files, with separate base and display firmware.
- Next evidence
- Build the first article; verify fit, power, temperature behavior, relay calls and faults before equipment evaluation.
Signal
Explore the design- Current work
- Equipment-side sensing hardware and firmware that acquires and logs locally.
- Next evidence
- Characterize the sensors and complete end-to-end communications and contractor event delivery.
Catch
Explore the design- Current work
- A dedicated float or isolated-contact sensing arrangement using the Signal board. NOT A SHUTOFF.
- Next evidence
- Verify contact operation, wiring faults and placement while retaining the independent equipment safety switch.
Renew
Explore the design- Current work
- A separate reservoir and pump prototype with attended water-bench firmware. NOT A SHUTOFF.
- Next evidence
- Measure the water path and interlocks. Establish calibration and materials suitability before broader dispensing work.
Reading the record
Different checks answer different questions.
- 01
Source review
Design checks inspect the circuit, component packages, PCB routing and CAD fit. They support fabrication of the prototype; they are not measurements from built hardware.
- 02
Software verification
Host checks and firmware builds exercise code and build configurations. Hardware behavior must still be verified on the assembled electronics.
- 03
Physical evaluation
First-power, thermal, fault and equipment tests require a built article. The results will determine what can progress to a controlled field evaluation.
Standards and testing
Bench, EMC, soak, field, and certification results are planned, not run until executed.
- FCC Part 15B unintentional-radiator testing: planned, not engaged.
- UL 60730-1 and UL 60730-2-9 NRTL listing: planned, not engaged.
- ENERGY STAR smart thermostat certification: planned, not engaged.
- Matter-over-Thread certification is roadmap-committed for Cordwick Ease — a scheduling commitment, not a certification claim.
- No Matter, CSA, or works-with-Alexa/Google/Apple claim is made until certification is actually obtained.
- The FCC U.S. Cyber Trust Mark is a preserved path, not a qualification claim.
